A creative community programme designed for Harrow Young Peoples' Service and delivered over eight weeks.
Community Stars is a bespoke award-winning programme that was designed to support and work with young people who may be finding aspects of school or home life difficult.
The aim of the programme was to engage the team and challenge them to undertake a project that addressed specific issues and promoted their involvement in the community.
Over the twice weekly sessions the teams also learned about team work, completed various challenges, tackled issue based exercises and planned and delivered the main Community Benefit Project. In addition, we designed and provided a unique 'Achievement Diary' that monitored the individual's progress at the start, end and three and six months after the programme.
Two unique projects were completed over six months with two different teams. The first team successfully chose, planned and undertook a complete a make over for a Children's Centre and the second team worked together to plan, design and deliver a unique Party for local Senior Citizens.
